Good evening oppo I was just browsing through oppo when I saw a post about describing a car you would own.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
And it got me thinking... what concept/protot ype cars you find interesting ? A concept car that I like is the Pontiac Banshee IV(4).
I love this concept because it looks so exotic with it’s low slung and bold design. Also look at that windshield! It goes so far back! Not to mention it was the car that the 4th generation F irebirds were based off of. The concept was introduced in 1988 but the 4th generation of Birds didn’t come out until 1993. How ever the interior in this concept is rather... interesting for the lack of a better term.
Also no the shifter doesn’t look like that I don’t know why in this picture it does. And that is a lot of buttons. Imagine if those buttons got worn out. You would have a tough time figuring that out without an owner’s manual it’s like classic Alfa Romeos but weirder .

I’ve always liked the Plymouth Back Pack
That interior
picture you posted
must’ve been taken on a public day at the auto show, where they remove the shift knobs

This is Oppo.
We both love them all and find them all strange.

Not a car. Other than the [unfinished design in place of a] headlight this is the best looking bike BMW has shown us in many years.

I always thought the Corvette XP-819 concept was interesting. A true REAR engine Corvette from the 60s

I’m not sure which version of the Onyx I like more, polished or oxidized.

I was gonna say Peugeot Quasar! One of the weirdest engine bays

Dodge Copperhead. I think it was fairly overshadowed by the Sidewinder truck concept around the same time, but I see some cues that eventually became the 3rd gen Viper SRT10.

For some reason, I really liked the Pininfarina Ethos.
It came out in 1992, and there was a rumor that Honda would produce it. It was powered by a 1.2 liter two-stroke 3-cylinder that made 94 hp and was supposed to show how there could be eco-friendly sports cars.

loved the Banshee - it was soooo Pontiac (in a good way.) I also loved the Diamond Star coupe/spyder twins...

I have/had a 1/64 scale version of that car!
Honestly, the hotwheels size looks better. Some pretty solid 90s stuff going on there.

The Nissan IDX certainly caught my attention. A small, boxy, RWD, coupe, from Japan, with a center exhaust even. Yeah I’d like that.
I definitely prefer the non-NISMO one with the round headlights. I even like these “production ready” renders that Road &Track did.Altho IMO lossing the four spoke wheels is a crime. Not as much of a crime as canning the whole car tho.

It does kinda look like a grown up Beat. Would have been a killer car for sure.

So much promise. Obviously this car influenced actual Buick models like the Lucerne but it got watered down a lot.

In a similar vein and from the same company as the OP’s contribution (but a year earlier, and with a Quad 4 with a huge turbo instead of a V8):
(This one’s interesting because it’s a mid-engine Golf prototype , with the engine under the rear seat.)
I think that’ll do for now.

Yeah, I do like their current design language, I like the new grill etc. But damn the avista was sexy, especially in that purple.

I'll have to remember in 4-5 months. Most of my childhood toys are still at my parents' place - 500 km away. And they are out of the country for the next 4 months.
